Dulce de Leche recipe...

Dulce de Leche! Hmm.. I can feel the cavities already! This seriously sweet sauce is so delicious! It is also extremely versatile with many uses. Be-it on biscuits, cakes or with ice-cream you will always get that sweetness you were looking for. This originates from Argentina. Soon I will share my recipe of Alfajores (Venezuelan biscuits) which are traditionally served with Dulce de Leche.

Dulce de leche can be store bought, made by condensed milk or made from scratch. Here today, ill show you how to make it from condensed milk. This is extremely easy and suitable for those who don't wish to make it from scratch.

The only ingredient you need is condensed milk!


 First peel the label off the tin. Place in boiling water.


Leave it boil for two hours, covered.

Then take out of the water (carefully) and place aside. Technically you should not open it until completely cool. However if you wish to use this as a sauce, serve warm.


The longer you wait, the thicker the sauce will become. You can now use it on all your favourite treats! Enjoy its sugary goodness!

#Note, as it can be stored after (unopened) it is very handy to boil the cans, in advance and leave them cool. Then store them labelled and now they are easy to access all the time.
